A Boeing 737 flying from the Tunisian island of Djerba made an emergency landing at Milan’s Malpensa airport at approximately 6:00 PM local time on September 8th. The emergency was declared after a cracked window was reported on the aircraft. Air traffic control initiated an immediate emergency call, activating all standard safety protocols. Fire brigade and Areu emergency response vehicles were dispatched to the runway. The aircraft landed without incident and, fortunately, no injuries were reported. The request for emergency services was later stood down as the situation was resolved without further complications for the airport hub.
