The decree of August 8, 2025, outlining incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles, has been published in Italy’s Official Gazette. The measure, which forms part of the revised National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr), consists of 17 articles and provides for non-repayable grants of up to €11,000 for citizens buying an electric car, and up to €20,000 for micro-enterprises purchasing commercial electric vehicles. The start date for the platform, managed by Sogei, through which applicants can access the incentives is now awaited. As explained recently by Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the launch is tied to the definition of commuter routes in large urban areas, which is one of the criteria linked to the subsidy.
