The body of a 54-year-old Czech tourist, who had been reported missing since yesterday, was found on the slopes of the Ortles mountain. The alarm was raised yesterday evening by his hiking companion, who had gone ahead during the ascent to the Payer Hut and then did not see him arrive. Search operations were halted yesterday due to bad weather. The body was located by a helicopter and recovered today.
According to a preliminary reconstruction of events, the tourist is believed to have fallen approximately eighty meters.
