Contemporary Creativity Lectures Return to Rome with Prominent Figures

A series exploring the creative process, sources of inspiration, and cultural impact within the contemporary context returns to Rome on September 23rd. The “Contemporary Creativity Lectures,” now in their second edition, are promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, the De Sanctis Foundation, and the Musica per Roma Foundation. The events will feature the personal accounts of five leading figures from the worlds of visual arts, photography, architecture, design, and fashion.

The program will open at the Teatro Studio Borgna in the Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone” on Tuesday, September 23rd at 7:30 PM with Pietrangelo Buttafuoco. The president of the La Biennale di Venezia Foundation, a writer and journalist, will discuss the curatorial vision of the late Koyo Kouoh, who had been appointed director of the 2026 Biennale Arte.

The schedule continues on Thursday, October 9th with internationally renowned urbanist and MIT professor Carlo Ratti. He will be followed on Monday, November 3rd by stylist and entrepreneur Maurizio Marinella, a renowned interpreter of Italian sartorial tradition. Photographer Olivo Barbieri, whose works are held in major international public and private collections, will take the stage on Monday, November 24th. The series will conclude on Sunday, November 30th with Vincenzo Castaldo, the creative director of Pomellato and a leading expert in the contemporary language of jewelry and fashion.
