Committee Sets Schedule for Ministers’ Hearings in Almasri Case

The Presidency Office of the Chamber of Deputies’ Committee for Authorizations unanimously established the timeline for examining documents from the Tribunal of Ministers concerning Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano and Ministers Matteo Piantedosi and Carlo Nordio in the Almasri case, formally launching proceedings. Committee President Devis Dori announced that a report for the Assembly will be finalized by late September, with at least five sessions scheduled. The officials will be summoned to provide clarifications. Both the Committee and Assembly will issue three separate votes—conducted openly in committee and by secret ballot in the Assembly—with a final verdict to be delivered by October.
