The declaration came in a letter addressed to all military personnel of the force, disclosed by the Usmia union. Luongo emphasized that while Italians are on vacation, the Carabinieri “continue, without respite, to ensure security and proximity to citizens—in cities and towns, on roads, along coastlines, and in tourist areas.”
