The Braidense Library, home to his personal study, will pay tribute to the late Umberto Eco with a special exhibition marking the tenth anniversary of his passing. Scheduled to run from April 7 to June 6, 2026, the show is organized in collaboration with the Umberto Eco Foundation.
The announcement was made in Milan by director Angelo Crespi, who presented it as a highlight of the new exhibition season for the Grande Brera cultural complex. “A new exhibition season is about to be inaugurated,” stated Crespi, “in which Grande Brera presents itself as a cultural hub, with proposals of extraordinary value and quality.”
He described the Pinacoteca di Brera, Palazzo Citterio, and the Braidense Library as the distinct “souls” that together form the unique Grande Brera, a destination designed to host exhibitions and initiatives for a diverse public. Crespi explained that the planned schedule of exhibitions for late 2025 and the first half of 2026 is intended to “deepen themes and topics that connect ancient art to contemporary art with a common thread, passing through the languages of the digital and bibliographic exhibitions.”
