The body of Sergio Corsano, a 55-year-old German tourist of Italian origin, has been located and recovered from Lake Como. Corsano had been missing since Monday after he dove into the lake to save his two children, who had gotten into difficulty in the water. After successfully rescuing them, the man disappeared beneath the surface in the area of the lake between the towns of Dorio (Lecco) and Domaso (Como). Following an extensive five-day search operation, his body was found and retrieved today. The search efforts mobilized Firefighters, who deployed an ROV (a remotely operated underwater vehicle guided from the surface), the Coast Guard, and numerous volunteers.
