The Beauty Festival returns to its original home, Verona’s Roman Theatre, for eight events from today until September 27th, concluding its summer tour under the edition’s theme “Wonder.” The finale lineup features original theatrical monologues, lectures, and concerts with major figures from the Italian cultural and artistic scene.
After a lengthy summer itinerary of over 30 events across Italy’s symbolic art venues—including piazzas, historic theatres, monumental villas, and archaeological sites—the festival returns to the venue of its origin, which remains its primary location by number of events.
Tonight’s opening event features Aldo Cazzullo in “The Marvelous Novel of the Bible,” a journey presenting sacred history as poetic narrative. Tomorrow, Arianna Porcelli Safonov will debut “Contemporary Minotaurs,” an ironic and disenchanted exploration of the modern “monsters” inhabiting today’s labyrinths.
The festival programme also includes Massimo Recalcati, Umberto Galimberti, a “Sono solo canzonette” concert by Edoardo Bennato (Wednesday, September 24th), Paolo Rossi with “Stand Up Classic,” Noemi’s “Nostalgia” concert (Friday, September 26th), and Alessandro Bergonzoni closing the series on Saturday, September 27th.
Organizers highlight that The Beauty Festival is Italy’s most-followed cultural event on social media, with over 270,000 total followers, including more than 184,000 on Instagram.
