New AC Milan signing Adrien Rabiot declared himself “ready, fit, and here to lend a hand” during his introductory press conference. The French midfielder expressed his hope to start in Sunday’s match against Bologna, stating, “If the manager puts me on the pitch, I will do everything to help the team win. I hope to be a starter, but the coach decides.”
Rabiot reunites with manager Massimiliano Allegri, with whom he shares a profound relationship from their time at Juventus. “I have shared so much with the coach. I immediately had a good relationship with him at Juve,” Rabiot explained. “He has the right mentality, lives with a passion for football, and a desire to win—all things I have as well. We kept in touch even after he left Juventus. Before being a great manager, he is a great person.”
The player revealed that he frequently spoke with Allegri this summer, which led to his decision to join the Rossoneri. Rabiot emphasized that his move to Milan is not a mere stepping stone for redemption but a deliberate choice to progress in his career. “I have had a great career. I played with champions at PSG, I won a lot, I played extensively at Juventus. I want to continue to have this hunger to win, to score goals and provide assists, and to help the younger players,” he said. “I am here to help Milan return to winning ways. Last season was a bad one, and Milan deserves to play in the Champions League and win many trophies. I am here to provide leadership and character. This is the right choice.”
