The timeline for the approval process of the decree that greenlit the definitive project for the Messina Strait Bridge is confirmed. Following the August 6th session, all required procedures, including the preliminary and essential public finance checks mandated by law, were completed within the stipulated deadlines for its examination by the Court of Auditors. This was stated in a note by the undersecretary with responsibility for Cipess, Alessandro Morelli.
“With my signature today,” Morelli continued, “the decree will be submitted for the Prime Minister’s signature and immediately sent to the Court of Audits. Following its examination and registration, it will be published in the Official Gazette, and the construction sites will be opened as announced by Minister Salvini. Adherence to the prescribed procedures and timelines is the guarantee of the correctness of decisions, which will prevent unnecessary delays,” concluded Morelli.
