An orange alert for hydrogeological risk and severe thunderstorms has been declared for central Tuscany and the archipelago, effective from 5:00 PM today until 1:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10. A yellow alert for the same risks is in place for the remainder of the region, lasting through the entire day tomorrow. The announcement was made by the President of the Tuscany region, Eugenio Giani, via social media. He stated that “the Tuscany Civil Protection system is operational and ready to intervene if necessary,” warning of the “possibility of severe thunderstorms across most of the region, which are more likely in coastal and western areas.”
