An estimated 16,000 people paid their respects over the past two days at the funeral home in Milan for Giorgio Armani. On the final day, an additional 10,000 people, following 6,000 the day before, filed past the designer’s coffin at the Armani/Teatro. The fashion icon’s funeral will be held privately on Wednesday in the province of Piacenza, his birthplace. For two days, a continuous line of mourners—including figures from fashion, sports, entertainment, and culture, as well as government representatives and many ordinary citizens—came to pay their final respects.
