The Canadian, seeded 25th, reached the final four of a Grand Slam for the second time in his career by defeating Australia’s eighth seed, Alex De Minaur, in a grueling four-hour match. The final score was 4-6, 7-6(7), 7-5, 7-6. Auger-Aliassime’s only previous Slam semifinal appearance was also at the US Open, in 2021.
