Russia Rejects Ukraine’s Security Demands as ‘Unacceptable’ Threat to Europe

The security guarantees sought by Ukraine represent a threat to the European continent and are “absolutely unacceptable,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated during a briefing, as reported by the TASS news agency. “The ideas of the Kiev leader, which are essentially a carbon copy of the initiatives of its European sponsors—or rather, of the European war party, as we have said more than once—are absolutely unacceptable,” Zakharova said. “They are aimed at preserving Ukraine as a springboard for terror and for provocations against our country.”
