Residents of Montefiascone, in the province of Viterbo, experienced moments of fear this late morning when a fire broke out in an apartment on Via Delle Grazie.
The alarm was reportedly raised by neighbors who saw thick black smoke pouring from the home. While the exact cause of the blaze, which started on the ground floor, is still under investigation, initial reports suggest it was likely triggered by an electrical fault.
Firefighters from Viterbo responded with a tanker truck, and the red-helmeted crews quickly extinguished the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring residences.
Fortunately, no one was inside the apartment at the time of the incident. Carabinieri from the Montefiascone company were also on site.
