China’s Shenzhen index fell 2% amid a sell-off affecting technology stocks, while the Shanghai index managed to limit losses to just over half a percentage point by closing. In contrast, Tokyo’s Nikkei gained 0.2% and Seoul’s Kospi rose 0.9%. Hong Kong and Sydney markets both declined by 0.3%. European futures indicated uncertain openings for the region’s markets.
