According to Al Jazeera sources, the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City is experiencing intense, continuous artillery shelling that has not ceased since the early morning hours. In a separate incident, local sources reported that 11 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a bakery in the Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City. Heavy bombardments have been reported across the entire Gaza Strip, with a preliminary death toll of 44. In the central area, at least five people, including two children, were killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp. It is believed at least 15 others remain trapped beneath the rubble.
