Three Young Men Reported for Organizing Illegal Rave in Protected Ticino Park

Three men in their twenties, residing in the provinces of Varese and Milan, have been reported to authorities for organizing an unauthorized rave party. The event was planned for the night of August 17-18 in a protected area of the Ticino Park in Vizzola Ticino (Varese).

Carabinieri from the Somma Lombardo station intervened quickly, dismantling the setup before the party could begin. Upon arriving at the small hamlet of Castelnovate, military police found approximately seventy young people in the process of setting up sound systems directly on a bend of the Ticino riverbed.

The presence of participants and a stream of vehicles—which are prohibited from accessing the protected area—alerted local residents, who subsequently called the emergency number 112. However, the carabinieri were already aware of the planned gathering due to their constant monitoring of social media.

The young people present hailed from Varese, Milan, Monza, Sondrio, and also from the Piedmont region. In addition to the three organizers, a 24-year-old found in possession of a baseball bat and a 26-year-old caught driving under the influence of drugs were also reported.
