Within a matter of hours, the Carabinieri intercepted two separate robbers in Milan. On Tuesday evening, at the Pasteur metro station, officers arrested a 20-year-old Egyptian man with a criminal record. He was caught red-handed for robbery after he was seen fleeing the scene having slapped a 19-year-old Colombian man and snatched his gold chain. Later that same evening, on Via Padova, military police intervened when they witnessed three men struggling outside a minimarket. The altercation involved the store owner and an employee who were attempting to detain a man who had stolen several bottles of alcohol. In an effort to escape, the 49-year-old thief threatened the proprietor and caused minor abrasions to his arms. After being subdued and the merchandise recovered, the man was taken to San Vittore prison.
