Doctors at Rome’s Bambino Gesù Hospital have lifted the critical prognosis for the 15-year-old boy who was hospitalized after being struck by lightning on Sunday afternoon in Crognaleto, in the province of Teramo. The boy, a resident of the Viterbo area, awoke yesterday from a medically induced coma. He is now alert and is expected to be discharged from the intensive care unit today to be transferred to a ward, most likely pediatrics.
