A tense situation unfolded this morning at the Marina Velca beach resort in Tarquinia, Viterbo, when a 60-year-old man suddenly collapsed from a sudden illness.
The man was assisted immediately by the local lifeguard and a retired doctor who performed initial resuscitation maneuvers, including the use of a defibrillator.
A Pegaso air ambulance subsequently arrived on the scene and transported the man to the Santa Rosa hospital in Viterbo. According to initial reports, he is not in life-threatening danger.
