Two Foreign Inmates Escape from Naples Prison

An Algerian and a Syrian detainee broke out of Poggioreale prison in Naples overnight, fleeing the medium-security facility. Regional prisons administrator Lucia Castellano arrived on-site to coordinate search efforts. Prison police and other law enforcement agencies launched a manhunt for the fugitives at dawn. Initial reports indicate the pair escaped by drilling through a wall.
