Carabinieri Commander Luongo Pledges Unconditional Support After Olbia and Genoa Incidents

General Commander of the Carabinieri Salvatore Luongo has expressed “unconditional support” for officers involved in recent incidents in Olbia and Genoa, stating these events highlight the “complex and delicate mission” undertaken daily with professionalism and sacrifice. The declaration came in a letter addressed to all military personnel of the force, disclosed by the Usmia union. Luongo emphasized that while Italians are on vacation, the Carabinieri “continue, without respite, to ensure security and proximity to citizens—in cities and towns, on roads, along coastlines, and in tourist areas.”
