An extensive search operation is ongoing off the coast of Cavallino Treporti beach near Venice for a 6-year-old boy who disappeared after entering the water for a swim. The alarm was raised around 4 PM when the child’s mother, failing to see him return to shore, alerted emergency services. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene. No trace of the boy has yet been found. The Venice Port Authority is coordinating the search, with divers from the regional fire brigade unit of Veneto participating alongside water scooters combing the area.
