The regional elections in Calabria will be held on October 5 and 6, as confirmed by Regional Vice President Filippo Pietropaolo. Pietropaolo signed the decree formally calling the vote, which has been published in the region’s official bulletin. The elections follow the resignation of Regional President Roberto Occhiuto. Yesterday, the Regional Council acknowledged Occhiuto’s formal resignation, after which Assembly President Filippo Mancuso dismissed the councilors and dissolved the legislative body.
