European gas storage facilities have exceeded the 70% capacity mark, holding over 798 TWh of gas according to data from Gas Infrastructure Europe. Italy leads with reserves at 82% capacity (166 TWh), outperforming Germany by 12 percentage points. Germany’s storage stands at nearly 63% (155.8 TWh). France follows with reserves at 78.8% capacity, storing just under 100 TWh of gas. This data confirms Italy’s position as the top performer in EU gas storage.
