The FILT CGIL union has halted the loading of military equipment onto the Saudi cargo vessel Bahri Yanbu, currently docked at Genoa Port after arriving from Dundalk, USA. The union enacted the blockade after demanding clarifications—jointly with FIT CISL and UILTrasporti—from the Prefecture, Port Authority, and Western Ligurian Sea Port System Authority regarding alleged war materials awaiting shipment at the terminal. Port workers confirm the vessel already carries military amphibious vehicles and containers of Class 1-E1.1 explosives, likely artillery shells. The Port Workers Coordination has announced a renewed protest at the terminal gates tomorrow at 8 AM.
