** Rome Prosecutor Francesco Lo Voi has rejected claims that he forwarded ministerial tribunal documents related to the Almasri case to the Chamber of Deputies with unjustified delay, despite assertions that he received them on August 1.
Lo Voi clarified that the documents required thorough review, reorganization, supplementation with necessary enforcement measures, and full photocopying before submission. He emphasized that the processing time was minimal: the files arrived at the prosecutor’s office on August 4 and were delivered to the Chamber by August 5.
“If 24 hours seems excessive to anyone…,” Lo Voi stated, while questioning the basis of the August 1 receipt claim: “Who alleged the documents reached the prosecutor’s office on August 1? Are there confidential details unknown to me?”
