The first-degree verdict for four Ligurian youths on trial at the Tempio Pausania court for gang sexual assault has been postponed to September. Ciro Grillo, Edoardo Capitta, Vittorio Lauria, and Francesco Corsiglia are accused of assaulting an Italian-Norwegian student and her friend. Following a four-hour closing argument by Capitta’s defense lawyer, Mariano Mameli, the session concluded with the scheduling of further hearings for September. Upcoming proceedings will include rebuttals from prosecutor Gregorio Capasso, lawyers for the civil parties, and finally, the defense counsel team.
