Stellantis Secures Second Place in EU Market with 17% Share and 1.3 Million Registrations

Stellantis closed the first half of the year as Europe’s second-largest automaker, capturing 17% of the EU30 market with over 1.3 million vehicle registrations. The group saw hybrid vehicle sales rise 4.2%, propelling it to segment leadership after gaining two positions. Stellantis maintained its commercial vehicle dominance with a 1.4% increase in a segment declining by 13%, achieving nearly 30% market share. Order intake grew 10% year-to-date, while inventory stock decreased by 16%.

“We’re delivering commercial results aligned with 2024 targets,” commented Jean-Philippe Imparato, Stellantis’ Head of Enlarged Europe. “While market share dipped slightly due to ending production of key models, Stellantis remains undisputed leader in A and B segments. Order intake continues to grow steadily – our order bank is already 13% higher than December 2024. These strategic achievements provide stability amid market turbulence.” Imparato noted Stellantis launched 15 new models across 10 brands in H1, including the Citroën C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, and Fiat Grande Panda, with significant B-segment impact expected soon. The New Fiat 500 MHEV and New Jeep Compass will launch by year-end.

The company confirmed market leadership in France, nearing 30% share overall and in the electric segment. Peugeot led the total French market with 15.6% share and three Top Ten models: 208, 2008, and E-3008. In Italy, Fiat remained the top-selling brand, with Panda as the market’s best-seller. Jeep Avenger became the year’s top-selling SUV, while Alfa Romeo Junior led Premium B-SUVs. Stellantis maintained leadership in Portugal and Spain’s total electric vehicle market across the Iberian Peninsula. In Germany and the UK, the Corsa secured first place in the B-Hatch segment year-to-date.
