A domestic incident in the Santa Lucia district of Cava de’ Tirreni (Salerno) nearly ended in tragedy last night. A 40-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 35-year-old wife seven times while she slept before attempting to take his own life.
According to preliminary investigations by local police, the man attacked his wife in her sleep. Both individuals were hospitalized in separate facilities. The woman is reported in serious but stable condition, not facing imminent life-threatening danger. The man remains under police arrest at the hospital.
