Night Shooting in Acilia Injures Egyptian Teen on Balcony

Gunfire erupted overnight targeting a residential building on Via Giuseppe Beduschi in Rome’s Acilia district, wounding a 19-year-old Egyptian woman on a balcony. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the knee and was transported to hospital by emergency services; her condition is not life-threatening. According to initial reconstructions, assailants fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle before fleeing. Carabinieri from Acilia station and Ostia company are investigating the attack. The teenager had arrived in Italy in June to visit her father, a permanent resident worker in the country. Authorities continue to pursue leads in the ongoing investigation.
