ANCONA – “Song of the Seasons,” a comprehensive Giorgio Cutini retrospective, runs at Mole Vanvitelliana from July 18 to September 30. Curated by Gabriele Perretta, the thematic exhibition presents over 200 photographs—many previously unseen—organized in signature series that reveal Cutini’s intuitive and conceptual approach.
MILANO – Palazzo Reale hosts the free-entry “Remo Salvadori” retrospective (July 16-September 14), curated by Elena Tettamanti and Antonella Soldaini. Featuring 50+ emblematic works, it stands as the largest exhibition dedicated to this pivotal contemporary Italian artist. Departing from traditional chronology, Salvadori and curators designed an immersive experience where artworks interact with visitor presence and gallery space. Complementary installations run concurrently at Museo del Novecento and Chiesa di San Gottardo in Corte.
ROMA – “2025 East and West: International Dialogue Exhibition – From Shanghai to Rome” opens at Galleria Nazionale Moderne e Contemporanea (July 15-September 14). Curated by Gabriele Simongini and Zhang Xiaoling, it displays 70+ works by 47 artists, juxtaposing Shanghai-based Chinese creators with Gnamc’s historical collection of Italian masters including Balla, Modigliani, and Fontana. Concurrently, Palazzo Merulana presents “Echoes of Time” by Zhang Xiaotao (July 28-September 28), exploring time, spirituality, and collective trauma through digital animation and painting.
BELLANO – BAC Bellano Arte Cultura unveils “Uroboro,” featuring site-specific installations by Marina Apollonio (curated by Chiara Gatti). The serpent-inspired exhibition—referencing infinite regeneration—showcases a 4.5-meter circular dynamic piece and a 2-meter elliptical perspective work across Museo Giancarlo Vitali and San Nicolao Arte Contemporanea.
CANNOBIO – Palazzo Parasi hosts Aldo Spoldi’s “The Clockwork Spring of Being and Time” (July 19-October 12). Curated by Loredana Parmesani, this visual thesis transforms Spoldi’s archive into a temporal machine, traversing his artistic journey from 1967 to 2016 in reverse chronology.
