** Father of DJ Who Died in Ibiza Police Custody Demands Justice, Rejects Revenge

** Giuseppe Noschese, father of the late 35-year-old Italian DJ Michele Noschese, has publicly declared his family seeks “justice, not revenge or scapegoats” following his son’s controversial death in Ibiza last Friday. Speaking to Italian broadcaster Tg1, Noschese contradicted the Spanish police’s assertion that his son died of cardiac arrest after feeling unwell.

According to witness accounts provided to the family, Noschese stated: “The police arrived, I’ve been told, made everyone leave, and remained alone with my son, who was bound hand and foot.” He added, “It appears he was beaten particularly violently.”

The incident began when Spanish Civil Guard officers (Guardia Civil) responded to a noise complaint at a party Michele Noschese was hosting for about ten friends at his Santa Eulalia residence. The police allege the DJ, known professionally as Godzi, was “under the influence of narcotics” and “experiencing hallucinations,” threatening an elderly neighbour with a knife. They claim officers attempted to restrain him, during which he suffered convulsions. Despite resuscitation attempts, he died at the scene from cardiac arrest, according to their report.

However, partygoers told the victim’s father a starkly different story. They alleged Michele was struck without reason by officers – reportedly receiving three punches (two to the face, one to the back) – before being forcibly carried out of the house and taken directly to the morgue. These witness statements form part of a formal complaint for voluntary homicide filed by Giuseppe Noschese against the Ibiza police.

An autopsy was conducted on Monday, with results deemed crucial for determining the cause of death. The family’s legal team, assisted by lawyer Paola Filippelli, appointed an independent consultant who arrived Tuesday morning; they are expected to request additional diagnostic tests following the initial autopsy.

Giuseppe Noschese confirmed the Italian Foreign Ministry (Farnesina) and its consulate in Barcelona are providing significant support, facilitating bureaucracy. The Consul General from Barcelona is due to arrive in Ibiza to monitor developments closely. While expressing hope for a just outcome revealing the truth behind his healthy son’s “tragic death,” Noschese reiterated: “Neither I nor my family are seeking revenge or culprits… We ask for a plausible explanation.” The Spanish Civil Guard has opened an investigation, the results of which will be submitted to judicial authorities.
