The legal representative for Ilaria Sula’s family has voiced strong support for Rome prosecutors following their request for an immediate trial for suspect Mark Antony Samson. Lawyer Giuseppe Sforza, speaking to ANSA, characterized the development as “another significant step in this investigation, confirming the dedication and absolute attention to every detail by the Rome Prosecutor’s Office.”
“I confirm the complete trust we have always placed in the work of the investigators,” Sforza added.
The lawyer stated the family has been convinced from the outset that all the alleged aggravating factors were valid. “Based on the initial information available to us,” Sforza said, “we believe this has been confirmed: the premeditation, the subsequent actions, and also the abject and futile motives. We are moving towards that minimum objective of justice within a court.”
Sforza acknowledged this judicial process cannot alleviate the family’s “growing pain,” but emphasized their goal is “to obtain a sentence proportionate and just in relation to the terrible manner in which this very young girl’s life was taken.”
