The European Union’s 18th sanctions package against Russia has been formally published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Among the measures adopted by Brussels are sanctions against film director Karen Shakhnazarov and nine other Russian personalities deemed close to President Vladimir Putin. The package also targets 18 companies operating in Azerbaijan, China, India, Mauritius, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, along with 22 Russian banks and 23 Russian companies.
