Family sources confirmed the death on Saturday afternoon as news spread across social media and music industry platforms, prompting widespread mourning for the internationally renowned techno artist. Godzi had numerous productions and global performances to his credit. Details surrounding his death remain unverified. Initial reports suggest police intervened at an Ibiza party due to noise complaints. In a 2022 interview with Naples-based Canale 8, Godzi discussed his musical beginnings (“My passion for music started at 15, then came the decks”), his tech-house style, his travels, and his reasons for choosing Ibiza after formative years in the UK (“London helped me develop musically, but Ibiza is the homeland of my music”). He advised aspiring DJs to dedicate themselves fully to music production and seek opportunities internationally, as he had done.
