A series of serious road accidents cast a grim shadow over Cuneo province on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.
In Ceva, a 103-year-old woman died after the car she was in veered off Provincial Road 353 and collided with a wall. Another woman in the vehicle was injured but is not in life-threatening condition. The deceased is reported as the 20th road fatality in the province this year, and the oldest so far.
A separate incident in Peveragno involved a family returning from an outing. Their jeep, carrying a father, mother, and their three children, left the roadway. Three occupants sustained serious injuries, though their lives are not currently in danger.
Meanwhile, in Sommariva Bosco, a 70-year-old woman was struck by a tanker truck during maneuvering. The elderly victim, in critical condition, was transported to Turin’s CTO hospital.
Finally, on a state highway in Cavallermaggiore, a man and a woman were involved in a crash. Initially classified as “code red” critical, their conditions are now improving. A young man also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
