The body discovered last night on Via del Mandrione in Rome has been identified as 32-year-old Emanuela Ruggeri, who had been missing for a week from the Colli Aniene district. Her mother had made a desperate plea on social media, stating, “I am desperate, help me find her,” explaining Ruggeri left home at 8:35 PM on July 14th saying she was meeting a friend. Police confirmed her identity using documents found with her and distinctive tattoos. The Rome Prosecutor’s Office is investigating her death as a potential consequence of a presumed criminal act. Prosecutor Giulia Guccione has ordered an autopsy, scheduled for this morning at the Tor Vergata University Hospital.
