The autopsy on the body of a 32-year-old Romanian escort, discovered deceased Sunday evening in a central Sassari apartment on Via Enrico Costa, is scheduled for Thursday. The Sassari Prosecutor’s Office appointed forensic pathologist Salvatore Lorenzoni today to conduct the examination at the Sassari Institute of Legal Medicine on July 24th.
Meanwhile, the apartment where the woman was found lifeless remains under seizure by order of lead prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo. The property, owned by a well-known local family of professionals and rented out short-term as a holiday home, is part of the investigation coordinated by Cattaneo and being conducted by Sassari Flying Squad officers.
Investigators report that a relative of the 32-year-old raised the alarm after being unable to contact her throughout the day. Police and emergency medical services responded to the apartment. A doctor confirmed the death. The body, lying on the bed, showed no apparent signs of violence.
Prosecutor Cattaneo ordered both the seizure of the body and the autopsy to determine the cause of death.
