A 63-year-old construction worker sustained serious injuries in a workplace accident around 6:30 AM in Selvanizza, a hamlet of Palanzano municipality in Parma province. The incident occurred during tile-unloading operations at a roadworks site on Strada della Torre (State Highway Massese), where preliminary reports indicate the man was crushed by materials.
Emergency services airlifted the worker via helicopter to Parma’s Maggiore Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Carabinieri and occupational health technicians from Parma’s Local Health Authority (Azienda USL) are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
