Israel Accuses Hamas of Stalling Prisoner-Hostage Talks in Doha

Hamas is making no progress on the ratio of prisoners to be released for hostages during negotiations in Doha, a senior Israeli official stated. While confirming talks continue, the official asserted, “Israel is prepared to finalize a deal with Hamas, but its refusal and reticence raise doubts about its seriousness.” The official, briefing as cited by the Times of Israel, added, “As soon as Hamas paves the way, we will be able to make progress.” The official further claimed Hamas “believes time is on its side,” but countered that “the ongoing IDF operations in Gaza demonstrate that time plays in Israel’s favor.”
