Italy’s Civil Protection has issued a weather alert as a cold air mass descending from Northern Europe toward the Balkans will drive rapid storm development across central and southern regions tomorrow. Intense thunderstorms are forecast to hit Lazio (particularly southern and eastern areas), Abruzzo, Molise, and Campania starting tomorrow morning.
These systems will bring heavy downpours, frequent lightning, isolated hail, and powerful wind gusts. A yellow-level hydrogeological risk alert has been declared for Abruzzo, Molise, Basilicata, and sectors of Umbria, Lazio, Campania, and Puglia due to potential flooding and landslides.
