Gaetano Galvagno, President of Sicily’s Regional Assembly, has relinquished his official vehicle and for the past week has traveled to the Palazzo dei Normanni using personal transportation. Galvagno is under investigation by Palermo prosecutors for corruption and misappropriation of public funds. The latter charge specifically concerns alleged improper use of the service vehicle allocated to the Sicilian Parliament’s highest office.
