Marco Formia, Mayor of Mazzè (Turin province), has declared municipal mourning for Wednesday, July 16th, coinciding with the funeral of Jacopo Peretti. The service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Parish Church of Saints Gervasio and Protasio.
The town administration stated, “The entire community and municipal administration stand in affection and solidarity with the family.” Peretti, 33, originally from Mazzè, died in a June 30th explosion at his residence on Via Nizza in Turin.
Giovanni Zippo, a 40-year-old security guard, has been arrested and charged as the alleged perpetrator of the blast.
