French payment processing multinational Worldline recorded a first-quarter net loss of €4.22 billion, driven primarily by a significant impairment of goodwill in its merchant services division. Group revenue fell 3.4% year-on-year to €2.2 billion, while adjusted EBITDA plummeted 21.9% to €401 million. Operating cash flow halved to €40 million from €82 million in the prior-year period. The company also reported a 42.6% decline in normalized profit, which dropped to €121 million. Net debt increased slightly to €2.12 billion from €2.07 billion.
