Attorneys Antonio Marino and Gabriele Casartelli, representing Paola and Stefania Cappa (cousins of 2007 Garlasco murder victim Chiara Poggi), issued a statement condemning press practices. They described an “information massacre” where unverified conversations—potentially entirely fabricated and of unconfirmed relevance to their clients—are published without restraint.
Commenting on recent media leaks, the lawyers issued a strong appeal to the Journalists’ Association and publishing companies. They demanded each entity “assume their respective responsibilities” by taking “immediate, unequivocal, and definitive action” to halt these “vulgar and unacceptable communication practices.”
