An amendment to Italy’s economic decree, put forward by three majority coalition rapporteurs, targets regulations for temporary agency workers. The proposed change would extend from three to four years the maximum period after which workers under temporary contracts must be offered permanent positions. The center-left opposition has demanded the amendment’s withdrawal, arguing it would further destabilize such employment by introducing a sector-specific mini-reform.
