Jovanotti’s Bike Party Concert Sells Out in 34 Minutes, Demands Pedal Power from Fans

Lorenzo Jovanotti’s sole summer live performance, the #JovaBikeParty at the No Borders Music Festival, sold out within just 34 minutes. The artist delivered, powering through a dynamic mix of classic hits and tracks from his new album “Il corpo umano vol.1,” including the single “Occhi a cuore.” These songs were presented in the energetic live versions featured on his latest release “Jova! Live! Love!” (Island Records/Universal Music Italia), the official recording of his sold-out 54-date arena tour from March to May 2025, which drew 591,123 spectators.

Organizers are already hailing it an “unrepeatable, visionary event, born to celebrate music and freedom, the #jovabikeparty.” The “bike” theme was central: Jovanotti arrived having cycled 480 miles (770 km) to reach Fusine Lakes in Friuli Venezia Giulia, near the Austrian border. He demanded that all 5,000 fans also reach the concert venue exclusively by bicycle, regardless of whether they traveled from Italy, Austria, or Slovenia.

Despite battling shifting winds and rain, Jovanotti and the J Street Band of PalaJova took the stage at 14:15. The lineup featured: Saturnino (bass), Christian “Noochie” Rigano (keyboards), Adriano Viterbini (guitar), Franco Santarnecchi (piano), Leo Di Angilla and Kalifa Kone (percussion), and Carmine “B-Dog” Landolfi (drums). Gianluca Petrella led the horn section, with Camilla Rolando (trumpet) and Sophia Tomelleri (sax). Backing vocals were provided by Micol Touadi, Jennifer Vargas, and Morris Pradella (who also played second guitar).

Before kicking off the music, Jovanotti introduced his cycling companions who pedaled with him to Tarvisio: Paolo Bettini (Olympic gold medalist and former national team coach), Daniele Bennati (multi-champion and former national cycling technical commissioner), “La Cheffa” alias Maria Vittoria Griffoni (new cyclist and PalaJova chef, who cycled from Jesi), Fred Morini (physiotherapist, osteopath, and cycling enthusiast), and Augusto “Gus” Baldoni (Jovanotti’s longtime travel companion).
